Congratulations to our latest award winners:
Veronica Jove is one of 34 graduate students who have received this year’s Gilliam Fellowship for Advanced Study, a program aimed at increasing diversity in the scientific workplace. The fellowship, given by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, supports promising doctoral students from groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences. Fellows receive an annual award of $46,000 for up to three years. Ms. Jove is a member of ’s .
Linghe Xi has been named a Damon Runyon Fellow. Awarded by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, the four-year postdoctoral fellowship supports outstanding scientists conducting basic and translational cancer research in the laboratories of leading senior investigators across the country. Dr. Xi, a member of ’s , will receive more than $230,000 to work on innovative projects.
